Theater has been at the heart of human tradition for thousands of years. Before the written language came oral tradition and story telling. It is an innate piece of all cultures and societies. In our youngest students, theater involves deep imaginary play and allows freedom to explore and express new concepts. the positive influence of the arts on brain development and later on academic performance is undeniable. Whether it is improving IQ by utilizing both hemispheres for learning or increasing EQ (emotional intelligence) through safe self-exploration and expression, theater enriches every child's life and learning experience...and it's just plain fun!
